PPD LA 2008 Community Service Award

The Pagan Pride Community Service Award will be awarded on Pagan Pride Day, October 5, to the person (or persons) who have made a positive impact on promoting religious diversity and tolerance, particularly paganism through education, community outreach, communication, etc. Please know that we will give every consideration to each applicant and we know that this will not be an easy decision. We acknowledge and appreciate that each one has had a very special and important impact on our community.

Nominees must live or work in Los Angeles County or Orange County areas or must have a direct impact on the LA or OC areas. Winners from previous years cannot win for three years after the year they won. PPLA Directors are not eligible (nor are we that self-centered!).

Applications must be submitted with two to three paragraphs as to why the person (or self) should be awarded the Pagan Pride Community Service Award. The Award will be presented at Pagan Pride Day 2008 on Sunday, October 5th, prior to the main ritual and chosen recipient should be able to be in attendance if at all possible. Applications must be submitted by August 15, 2008 and should be sent to: PPLA, P.O. Box 931783, Los Angeles, CA 90093. Applications are below.

Any questions should be directed to brian@paganpridela.org. We know that there are many people within the community who work diligently at promoting religious tolerance and diversity. We hope to acknowledge at the very least some of those people over the coming years.
