Pagan Pride Los Angeles is the local chapter of a national movement that operates media-friendly events to educate the community about Paganism.

Updated (8/3/2020) Statement about the status of PPD planning during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pagan Pride Los Angeles/Orange County is committed to organizing a fabulous festival every year, but we are also committed to doing so safely. Unfortunately, after much consideration, it has become clear that holding the event presents too great a risk that we will not be able to adequately mitigate. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the live Pagan Pride Day scheduled for September 27 at the Rainbow Lagoon.

We regret that we are unable to present this festival to you this year. As you can tell, we waited until the last possible minute to decide. The decision was based on the timing of the recent "second wave" of COVID-19 cases in California, the cancellation of other September events in Long Beach, the rolling back of California's re-opening, and the state's inability to get to "stage 4" (or stage 3), when large gatherings would have been allowed to proceed. It's the choice we didn't want to have to make, but it's the right choice for the community's safety.

Vendors who have sent money will, as promised, receive a full refund, or apply the money to a future PPLA/OC event.

The situation in the last few months has shuttered almost all festivals, leaving most people not only thirsting for social interaction, but also intellectual stimulation. Given that, we are exploring the possibility of holding a virtual event. Our first virtual PPD for Los Angeles/Orange County (and beyond), if it occurs, will be held on October 25. Details are coming soon, and the easiest way to get updates will be to follow us on Facebook or check back here.

Thank you for your long-running support of our event. We do it for you.
