Remember the May Fair from May 2000? You came, you shopped, you won fabulous prizes? We did it again, and it has passed again. We held our first 2002 fundraiser at Raven's Flight, which included several small craft vendors, a card reader, a massage therapist, live music, and of course, a raffle. The Psychic Fair at Crystal Cauldron on May 18 was a little less crowded than the Spring Faire, but hey, money is money. Many Many MANY thanks go to Willow and Eric who really planned the whole event. We raffled off readings used that day, and many attendees learned what lies ahead for them, hopefully for the better! I had a reading too. The reading said that Pagan Pride Day is going to kick butt!
A new idea we borrowed from numerous people who have held them before. Tumbleweeds in Huntington Beach was gracious enough to let us use part of their bar for a Singles Night. Although I didn't take a poll to see who hooked up, we did enjoy Karaoke by Shed, and many Pagans braver than I sounded much better than I ever could. Thanks goes to Shed for actually donating some of the proceeds from his night to help us at PPD. We also ran a pool tournament and a dart contest, but I think the same person almost won both. The event raised $150 for our main event in September. |
