"Come play with clay and free the genius locked within you". Crystal Cauldron in Pomona lent us space to hold this event. Portions of the class fee benefitted PPLA. This was a clay meditation taught by Foster Holt and based on Carl Jung's work using art as a medium for connecting with the unconscious mind. After entering a meditative state through chanting and listening to music, each person created their own, individual, sculptures allowing the unconscious mind to speak to them in its own symbolic language. Foster interpreted each piece with the cooperation of its creator, revealing new insights into her/his unconscious and important aspects of their lives. Foster, the instructor, has an Arts Degree in Sociology, is a certified Voyager Tarot Counselor, and has taught many classes on various metaphysical subjects. He is an elder of Hearthstone Coven, a member of Covenant of the Goddess.
Crafty Crafty stuff. Who wants to buy crafty stuff? On Sunday, May 18, we held the Spring Faire at Raven's Flight. Raven graciously lends us our space every year for this event. She also graciously lends her space out for the small, crafty, home-working vendors that sell their wares every year at this event. The event offered gifts from merchants you normally don't get to see all the time and readings from a Voyager Tarot reader. Proceeds helped to reserve space for the main Pagan Pride Day event in September.
Krystal Moon helped us organize this event, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting PPLA. $15 covered dinner and an entry in the pool tournament at Fitzgeralds, Huntington Beach, near Krystal Moon. The event also featured musical entertainment from Jenny Southerland. |
